Following the triumphant completion of Mission 1, Lunaprise has accepted Notre Dame alumnus Dr. Jack Sacco and his nonprofit to curate Notre Dame’s most important history, music, sports, and achievements to have twin copies sent to the Lunar colony on the south pole of the Moon. These private initiatives are led by private space companies like Space Blue and are not curated by NASA.
The Jack Sacco Foundation for the Arts and Sciences will be the administrator overseeing the private sector-led program in cooperation with other Alumni, Alumni organizations, and Notre Dame.
It is a 501(c) (3) IRS-approved organization and is designated as a Public Charity under 170(b)(1)(A)(vi).

The Lunaprise Museum

Technology Developed To Last Over 1bn Years in Space
The Lunaprise Museum utilizes advanced file compression and etching technology to store curated art on an indestructible nickel disk. A proprietary algorithm compresses various digital formats without sacrificing quality, while a high-precision laser engraves the binary data onto the disk. This innovative approach combines durability and cutting-edge storage techniques, safeguarding humanity’s artistic achievements on the Moon for future generations.

Accessible from Earth via the Lunaprise Metaverse Museum
Launching in 2027, the Lunaprise Metaverse Museum will offer visitors an immersive experience of the Lunaprise Museum from anywhere in the world. Through blockchain technology, the Metaverse Museum will house twin artifacts and art assets, enabling visitors to access and experience their favorite Lunaprice pieces.

The story of The Notre Dame Space Mission Patch
The Official Mission Patch of the Notre Dame Lunar Archive commemorates a historic undertaking; the preservation of the University of Notre Dame’s faith, heritage, achievements, and enduring ideals in an archive destined for the surface of the Moon.
At its center rises Notre Dame’s magnificent Golden Dome, crowned by the Blessed Virgin Mary, patroness of the University. The gold symbolizes divine light, wisdom, excellence, and the enduring value of knowledge placed in the service of humanity.
The statue of Our Lady carries a particularly profound significance. Beneath her feet rests a crescent moon, recalling the biblical vision in Revelation of a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet. For generations, Mary has stood above the Notre Dame campus, the crescent moon beneath her feet. Now, in a remarkable convergence of sacred symbolism and human achievement, the University dedicated to her will carry its own history and ideals to the Moon itself.
Behind the Golden Dome, the Earth shines against the vastness of space, representing humanity’s common home and the world Notre Dame has sought to serve since its founding in 1842.
Opposite Earth, the Moon represents a new frontier – not merely for exploration, but for the preservation of human memory, knowledge, and aspiration.
Between these two worlds rises the spacecraft, symbolizing the ingenuity, courage, and determination that enable humanity to carry the achievements of the past into the future.
The stars evoke the wonder of creation and the timeless human pursuit of truth. The University’s interlocking ND monograms, framed within golden shamrocks, honor its identity, Irish heritage, and generations of faithful stewardship. The surrounding blue and gold recall Notre Dame’s cherished traditions, while the unbroken circular border symbolizes continuity and permanence.
At the base of the patch appear four words: A Force For Good
These words embody the founding vision of Rev. Edward Sorin, C.S.C., who, in 1842, expressed his conviction that Notre Dame would become a powerful means of doing good in the world.
Nearly two centuries later, that vision reaches beyond the world itself.
From a modest beginning in the Indiana wilderness to an enduring testament destined for the surface of the Moon, Notre Dame carries forward the same aspiration that inspired its founding – to illuminate minds, inspire hearts, advance human understanding, and remain, for generations yet to come, a Force for Good.
